End-to-End Learning of Noise Shaping for OAM Mode Division Multiplexing Transmission

In this paper, an end-to-end noise shaping (E2E-NS) strategy based on autoencoder (AE) is proposed for orbital angular momentum (OAM) mode division multiplexing (MDM) optical fiber communication system. The experimental results show that the bit-error rate (BER) performance of 200 Gb/s carrierless amplitude phase modulation-32 (CAP32) signal with E2E-NS technique outperforms the corresponding signal with traditional NS technique.
