Research on Salinity Detection Sensors Based on Scanning Taper and Fixed Point Taper Micro/Nanofiber

This paper introduced a salinity sensor based on scanning and fixed point taper. Experiments encompassed fibers with varying diameters (2.0 μm, 1.6 μm, 1.4 μm, 1.0 μm) and lengths (80,000 μm, 22,500 μm). The scanning taper approach demonstrated superior sensitivity, with a theoretical sensitivity of 0.501 dB/% closely mirrored by an experimental sensitivity of 0.495 dB/%. It was characterized by precision, an extensive detection spectrum, and enhanced mitigation of temperature interference, this sensor was particularly well-suited for applications in marine environments.
