Bragg-grating-coupled Fano resonator with dissipative coupling for anti-PT-symmetric gyroscopes

In this work we present the modelling and the experimental results about a new configuration for a non-Hermitian gyroscope, based on dissipative coupling between two modes of an optical resonator. The presence of a Bragggrating in the feeding bus of an optical resonator realizes the dissipative coupling between the counterpropagating modes of a single resonator. This enables the possibility of realizing the anti-PT-symmetric Hamiltonian. Moreover, we demonstrated that this dissipative coupling mechanism can give rise to asymmetric Fano resonant line shapes.
