Automated Data Ingestion Framework for Enhanced Control and Maintenance of Optical Networks [Invited]

We propose and develop a data retrieval and data visualization framework supporting monitoring operations in Software Defined Optical Networks (SDON). We showcase the establishment of lightpaths and provisioning of OTN services on a real optical-network testbed, and consider the collection of both real-time and historical performance monitoring for the established lightpaths.
