Investigating the Relationship Between Molecular Structure and Nonlinear Optical Behavior in Specific Organic and Organometallic Compounds

The investigation of the nonlinear optical properties of highly conjugated organic and organometallic compounds and self-assembled photonic structures is rapidly expanding and holds significant importance in the advancement of emerging photonic technologies. The advancement of materials created through molecular engineering is crucial for the development of new compounds in communication, optical switching, data storage, and optical limiting. These materials must exhibit exceptional nonlinear optical (NLO) properties. In recent years, there has been a focus on organic materials, polymeric substances, organometallic, and coordination metallic complexes in both experimental and theoretical inquiries due to their potential applications in photonics and optical devices. The obtained results demonstrate the significant nonlinear optical characteristics of the investigated organic compound when deposited as thin layers using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and spin-coating methods. These findings provide evidence that the examined organic compound is a promising candidate for use in the production of optoelectronic devices.
