Active devices based on novel materials.

In this paper, we highlight some of our work on different material systems such as 2 D transition metal dichalcogenides, perovskites, transition metal borides and carbides. The first part describes our recent works on photodetectors and sensors, transitioning to strong coupling of 2 D materials and perovskites with potential applications to polaritonic lasers. The second part presents fundamental studies that describes the use of different novel materials to boost strong coupling between exciton and nanocavities that lead to pave the way to develop future optoelectronic devices such as fast polariton lasers. Overall, the work will lead to very sensitive and efficient devices.
