Future-Proofing 6G V2X Sidelink Connectivity: Scheduling and Adaptive Beamforming Integration

Efficient Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications are crucial for intelligent transportation systems and connected autonomous vehicles. This research presents a novel methodology integrating Sensing-Based Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS), advanced signal processing, resource allocation strategies, and adaptive beamforming techniques to optimize V2X connectivity in 5G networks. It aims to enhance reliability, coverage, and throughput for V2X communications, considering the future evolution of 6G V2X. Combining SPS, resource allocation, and adaptive beamforming minimizes interference, improves cover-age, and maximizes system throughput. A unified optimization framework is used, considering achievable rates, interference constraints, transmit power limitations, and beamforming vector optimization. A two-step iterative algorithm finds a suboptimal solution. The proposed approach results demonstrate a 20% larger coverage area and 70% higher coverage probability,7% lower interference levels, 11% higher Packet Delivery Rate(PDR), 55% higher throughput, and 50% higher reliability than the Traditional Approach.
