Evaluation of Remote Error Estimation Algorithms for Electricity Meters

Remote error estimation electricity meters is a novel technique with wide application. For testing the accuracy of a remote error estimation algorithm, an evaluation method using standard datasets is proposed in the paper. The errors of the meters in a standard dataset are known. After it is input to an algorithm, evaluation can be achieved by comparing the algorithm’s output values of errors with the known values of errors. Some experimental results are given with several standard datasets as input to a remote error estimation algorithm.
