The WuShu Database for Cursive Script Character and Style Recognition

Cursive script, as a treasure of Chinese calligraphy, is famous for its unique artistic charm and expressive power. However, the high degree of abstraction and variability of cursive writing brings challenges to text identification and style research. At present, there is no large-scale database specifically for cursive handwriting recognition, which limits the research and application of calligraphy art in the digital era. This research aims to build the first database focusing on character recognition and style analysis of cursive script, aiming to promote the digitalization process of cursive script art and provide a solid foundation for future calligraphy research and application.
