Real-Time Interaction with Animated Human Figures in Chinese Ancient Paintings

To promote the conservation and inheritance of Chinese ancient paintings, we propose an intelligent interaction system that animates ancient figures for real-time human-painting in-teraction. The system consists of two stages: AnciAnimate, an animation approach, and real-time human-painting interaction. AnciAnimate follows the commonly-used animation pipeline and replaces manual steps in the process with computer vision techniques. The real-time human-painting inter-action allows audience to interact with the animated human figures depicted in ancient paintings in real-time. Our system brings audience an immersive experience with Chinese ancient paintings.
