Combined MLP-RBF Model for Estimation of Faraday Rotation of SAR Signals in Ionosphere

This paper presents a model for estimating the Faraday rotation (FR) angle of electromagnetic (EM) waves traveling through the ionosphere using artificial neural networks (ANN). The MultiLayer Perceptron (MLP) network, which aims to estimate the intensity of the Earth's magnetic field based on the geographic location and the altitude at which the signal traverses the ionosphere, is integrated with the RBF ANN for Total Electron Content (TEC) estimation. The development and evaluation of the proposed combined MLP-RBF model are presented in the paper.
