Experimental Validation of a Hybrid Finite Volume Method Simulating Buried Objects Radar Cross Section

The paper presents a hybrid finite volume method for evaluating the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of buried objects illuminated by a plane wave, along with an experimental validation of this method. In this context, a dedicated experiment is defined to assess the method’s performance. An overview of the numerical scheme’s principle is provided, and the experiment details are explained. The study also presents some comparisons between simulation and measurement results.
