Utilizing Implications in Error Detection: Methods Overview

It aims to identify powerful implications for efficient error detection with minimal hardware requirements. Unlike traditional methods relying on error codes and redundancies, implications analyse logical relationships between input and output signals. They enable predictive error detection without extensive circuit modifications. Logical, statistical, temporal, contextual, and semantic implications, uncovering various error detection approaches are analysed. This paper enumerates major methods and challenges of using implications in error detection, as well as current state of research in the field with a selection of important practical applications.
