The Internet Gaming Disorder and predictors of Loneliness in Portuguese higher education students: a preliminary study

This study explores the assesses the relationship between internet gaming disorder and loneliness with sociodemographic and academic variables, as well identify predictors of loneliness, in a group of Portuguese higher education students. The preliminary results presented in this study, show that students who live with their parents, present lower levels of loneliness. Results show that better satisfaction with friends and more intimacy contribute to better loneliness. High IGD values contribute to high loneliness values.
