Color-Selective Interference Equalization in Color-Shift Keying (CSK) Systems

Color-Shift Keying (CSK) modulation offers numerous benefits that support its utilization in visible light communication systems. However, CSK modulation is extremely susceptible to color-selective interference, where a narrowband interfering light source can disrupt the balance of the CSK modulation color combination. This paper presents a novel model that considers selective color interference in CSK systems. Additionally, it presents a Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) equalizer that is resilient to this specific type of interference. Computational simulations validate the conclusions of this article, confirming both the detrimental impact of this form of interference and the beneficial impact of employing the suggested equalizer.
