Enhanced WiFi 6/6E Connectivity: Design of a Multiband Fractal Antenna with Circular Polarization

This paper presents a design for a circularly polarized multiband patch antenna with a fractal element specifically developed for WiFi 6/6E applications. By integrating a fractal element, the multiband operation and circular polarization characteristics of the antenna are further improved. The proposed antenna design with total size is $57 \times 75 \times 1.6 \mathrm{~mm}^{3}$exhibits remarkably high gain performance, achieving gains of $6.4 \mathrm{~dB}, 6.3 \mathrm{~dB}$ and 3 dB within the $2.4 \mathrm{GHz}, 5 \mathrm{GHz}$ and 6 GHz frequency bands, respectively. In addition, it exhibits excellent impedance matching across these bands, which promotes efficient power transmission and consistent wireless connectivity. A key advantage of the proposed design is its simplicity, which enables low-cost production and easy integration into wireless systems. The antenna has a simple feeding mechanism that further reduces complexity. These features make the proposed antenna a cost-effective and efficient solution for WiFi 6/6E applications.
