Work-Load Management and Job Gratification: A Study on the Work-life Equilibrium of Higher Education Instructors

Life is full of orchestrating a basket of professional and personal roles and performances, care, compassion, and happiness- in the family, with friends, in the community, and with colleagues at the workplace. The current study investigates the work-life balance and job satisfaction among educators of higher educational institutions in Warangal using cross-tabulation and descriptive statistics. The study researched that, male educators holding professor cadre had a high level of work-life balance when compared to female educators. Moreover, male and female educators with more than 15 years of teaching experience were able to maintain a healthy work-life balance than married female educators with children and fewer years of experience. The stress of work and personal life enhancement affected these categories of female educators. The research emphasizes the measures of work-life balance that include better working conditions, release of stress, more mindfulness and a gender-friendly work environment.
