Investigating the Probability Density Function of the Nodal Voltage Deviations in a Low-Voltage Distribution Grid

This paper investigates the probability density functions (PDFs) of the voltage deviations at the nodes of a low-voltage grid. The PDFs are obtained using a Monte Carlo simulation algorithm developed by the author and applied to a real low-voltage distribution network (LVDN). Multiple scenarios for different new power allocations are simulated. For each scenario, the whole year is simulated hourly, and the voltage deviations at the nodes are stored. The influence of the number of simulated years and the amount of new power on the resulting voltage deviation PDFs is analyzed.
