Abstract:
The paper proposes a methodology to assess the impact of the increase in the number of prosumers in the lowvoltage electrical distribution networks from the point of view of energy losses and voltage levels. A real low-voltage electrical distribution network belonging to a Romanian Distribution Network Operator has been used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. The final results indicated a threshold of the prosumers' penetration degree of 20% (percentage from the total number of the end-users connected to the network) without additional measures to increase the hosting capacity of the network, corresponding to the minimum energy losses and the integration of all phase voltages between the admissible limits, indicated in the performance standard for the electricity distribution service, at the end-user's level. The methodology allow incorporation of the strategies based on technical measures integrating load balancing and voltage control algorithms and resizing of the conductors, which will increase the penetration degree.
