Inclusivity in Electronic Communication: A Morse Code Interface for Visual and Auditory Deficiencies

The paper addresses the communication needs of individuals with both visual and auditory deficiencies and proposes an inclusive electronic communication interface. Recognizing the limitations faced by this limited group, we present a solution that harnesses the efficiency and versatility of Morse Code. The suggested didactic models consisting of an embedded device and a Graphical User Interface design are tailored to simplify user experience and offer a comprehensive and accessible means of electronic communication between individuals, and with electronic devices. The solution not only addresses existing technological gaps but also fosters greater inclusivity in the realm of electronic communication and offers many further development directions in the areas of Smart-Home design. This research strives to contribute to the advancement of technology with a focus on enhancing accessibility and usability for individuals facing combined visual and auditory impairments.
