Enhancing Parent-Teacher Collaboration in Early Childhood Education through a Web-Based App

The utilization of technology, along with fostering collaboration between parents and teachers, is crucial for improving academic performance, encouraging positive behavior, and nurturing the overall well-being of children during their formative years of education. Despite its significance, many schools, including one in the Philippines, grapple with this challenge. In this context, teachers find it challenging to engage parents, while parents struggle to monitor their child’s academic progress. Thus, this study aims to tackle these issues by creating an innovative web platform. This platform is customized to meet the specific needs of the school and the early childhood education landscape in the Philippines. Its unique features aim to facilitate effective parent-teacher collaboration and increase parental involvement in their child’s education. By offering accessible resources, real-time updates, and efficient data management, this platform enriches the educational experience for students, parents, and teachers, fostering streamlined communication and a collaborative atmosphere. Through system evaluation and impact analysis, it was determined that the web-based app has significantly enhanced parent-teacher collaboration by providing a seamless and efficient platform for communication, information sharing, and engagement.
