BACCO: a Tool for Holistic Wellness Monitoring

The aim of this research is to address the challenge of health consciousness by developing a mobile application that facilitates self-awareness and improvement in individual health. Multiple factors influence health, making it challenging for individuals to be fully aware of their wellness. This solution focuses on assessing health status through comprehensive indices for physical activity, nutrition, and mental health. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals to make informed choices and initiate positive changes in their lifestyles, leading to enhanced overall well-being. The prototype’s effectiveness was evaluated through a qualitative study involving ten participants with diverse activity levels. This study aimed to gather subjective perceptions of the application under review. The results showed the efficacy of the Bacco App in fulfilling its primary goal of providing an intuitive tool to gain self-awareness, with 90% of the testers reporting that using the Bacco App heightened the awareness of their health status and motivated them to improve in areas where they were lacking.
