Inspecting the optical properties of light transmitting concrete for applications in smart traffic

We proposed and described a vehicle-to-pedestrians (V2P) communication system employing light transmitting concrete (LTC) panel. Additionally, LTC panels made from PMMA optical fibers with different core diameters were also introduced as a key component of the V2P communication system. To ensure that the LTC panel can meet the requirements related to the ability to display the traffic warning signals and observe the information from traffic participants, the optical characteristics of the light transmitting concrete panels were carefully studied in this research.
