Reach on Fuzzy Logic Control for Electric Power Steering System

This article presents a technique that uses fuzzy logic control (FL) to regulate a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor to meet the requirements of electric power steering across different road speeds and circumstances. The proposed FL controller demonstrates robust performance in regulating the PMSM motor for electric power steering applications. By incorporating FOC and sensor feedback, the system effectively adjusts the motor voltage to provide the necessary steering assistance across varying driving conditions. The MATLAB simulation results validate the system's ability to meet the stringent performance criteria of electric power steering systems, ensuring a seamless and responsive steering experience for drivers. The electric power steering system suggested provides smooth steering from 0km/h to 120km/h, with power steering torque ranging from 20,71 Nm to 15,7 Nm. The precision and efficacy of the solution are confirme by MATLAB simulation, verifying its ability to fulfill the demanding performance standards of electric power steering systems.
