Privacy-Preserving HCV Data Outsourcing Scheme for Initial Diagnosis and Epidemiological Study

Serum biomarkers play a crucial role in assessing the progression of hepatitis C. In some regions, especially underdeveloped areas, hospitals often outsource the analysis of patients' serum biomarker data, which helps determine the disease status and conduct epidemiological study for hepatitis C patients. Protecting the privacy of patients' data is also of utmost importance in this process, since people in underdeveloped areas often have more biases. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an outsourced privacy-preserving HCV data K-Means scheme, based on the fully homomorphic encryption algorithm, to address the ethical problem of medical privacy. The proposed scheme contains a secure squared distance protocol, a secure minimum value protocol, and a secure mean value protocol. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the scheme.
