Evaluation of Integrated Benefits of Shore Power based on Network Hierarchy Analysis Method

With the continuous advancement of global trade, ships have become a vital mode of transportation in ports across the world. However, the use of auxiliary generators for power supply by ships during port calls has resulted in significant pollutant emissions and noise pollution, posing a threat to the surrounding environment. To address this issue, land-based power supply technologies have been put forward as a solution to decrease emissions and operating costs of ships. In this study, a new comprehensive evaluation model is introduced utilizing The Analytic Network Progress (ANP) method. By combining subjective and objective assignment methods like entropy weight method, a scientific evaluation system is constructed. This model assesses the benefits of port shore power projects from economic, environmental, and social perspectives. It provides decision makers with clear indicators of benefits, facilitating the global adoption of shore power technology. This not only improves environmental quality in ports but also lowers operating costs, ultimately contributing to sustainable development.
