Research on improving the control quality of the flying objects in stabilizing roll angular rate

The paper presents a study on developing a novel roll linearization model and designing control gains through the utilization of a three-loop autopilot to stabilize the roll angle and roll angular rate for unmanned aerial vehicles. The key contribution lies in the introduction of a new linear model that describes the flying object more accurately compared to known models. Additionally, the research demonstrates that the control efficiency achieved when using the new model for controller design is more prominent compared to the old one, especially for flying objects exhibiting high directional stability and operating under flight conditions where the sideslip angle is significantly large.
