Research on Noise Reduction Algorithm for Nonlinear Ultrasonic Testing of Microcracks

This study provides a more efficient signal denoising algorithm for nonlinear ultrasonic testing of coarse-grained materials in the future. This article employs numerical simulation techniques to examine the impact of structural noise and Gaussian white noise on ultrasound received wave signals, alongside evaluating various signal denoising algorithms. Through nonlinear ultrasonic testing experiments conducted on aluminum alloy plates containing microcracks of varying sizes and employing relative nonlinear coefficients for characterization, the acquired signals underwent processing using signal denoising algorithms. A comparative analysis of the denoising efficacy of different algorithms was performed based on the processing outcomes. This research contributes to the advancement of more effective signal denoising algorithms for nonlinear ultrasonic testing of coarse-grained materials in the future.
