Analysis of Supply Chain Management Internal Process Criteria for Fast Moving Consumer Goods

This study addresses the worldwide requirement for continuous evaluation of supply chain management (SCM) in the face of interruptions, especially in the wake of the recent pandemic. It highlights the assessment of internal supply chain management procedures and presents a fuzzy logic and DEMATEL approach architecture. Responding time, lead time, driver dependability, inventiveness, e-payment, and safety are the six main criteria that are examined in the context of Lagos Island's fast-moving consumer goods. Using the DEMATEL approach, data obtained from six SCM specialists is analysed to show impact criteria such as safety, inventiveness, and responsiveness, and cause criteria such as lead-time, driver reliability, and e-payment. Remarkably, lead-time is the most important cause requirement, whereas responsiveness is the most important impact criterion. Out of the effect and cause criteria, safety and e-payment are the least important. These insights are intended to support SCM stakeholders in resolving changing industry challenges, enhancing SCM performance, and making well-informed decisions. This study adds important data that improves the SCM systems decision-making process.
