Application of Laser Ultrasonic Detection Technology in Thin Metal Plate Weld Detection

The butt weld of thin metal plate is widely used in the manufacture of packaging barrels for low and intermediate level radioactive waste. This paper introduces the application of a direct laser ultrasonic detection technology in butt weld detection of thin metal plate. Through experimental research, the related detection technology parameters are obtained, and the advantages and limitations of this technology in weld detection of waste barrels are summarized. Meanwhile, it provides experimental basis and ideas for the application of laser ultrasonic in nondestructive detection of butt weld of thin metal plate.
