High-speed Elevator Car Full-Band Noise Prediction Method Based on FEM-BEM and SEA

High-speed elevator produces aerodynamic noise ranging from tens to thousands of hertz. Different noise prediction methods have different applicability ranges, and no single numerical method can predict full-band noise. To enable complete vibroacoustic prediction, this paper proposes a method that combines finite-element-boundary-element method (FEM-BEM) and statistical energy analysis (SEA). The FEM-BEM model predicts low frequency noise using structural and aerodynamic noise excitation, while the SEA model predicts medium-high frequency noise using convective and acoustic components of aerodynamic noise. The experimental and simulated noise values tend to be consistent in the whole frequency band, and the total sound pressure level error is 9.3%. The error is within the allowable range of engineering application, which validates the accuracy and applicability of the proposed method. This suggests directions for future optimization and improvement.
