Forming technology and finite element analysis of continuous flexible anti-seepage wall

Compared to the plastic concrete cutoff wall, the polymer cutoff wall offers benefits such as improved seismic performance, environmental friendliness, and durability. However, existing technology and equipment are difficult to ensure the continuity of trenching and grouting in deep and narrow flexible wall. In order to address the problem, this paper proposes a novel technology and equipment for simultaneous excavation and grouting, which combines vertical chainsaw trenching with intermittent grouting. And the detailed construction process of this technology is presented. The finite element method is employed to analyze the interaction between the single tool and the soil in the vertical direction. Following the cutting process, the formation of uniform grooves and flat walls demonstrates the feasibility of chainsaw groove trenching. Additionally, the finite element method is employed to simulate the formation of the film using a single nozzle and the subsequent expansion of the liquid film. It is observed that the film formation is uniform and the expansion is continuous and controllable, which proves the feasibility of intermittent spraying. The results showed that the construction technology and equipment involving chainsaw trenching and intermittent grouting can address the continuity issues in excavation and grouting.
