An Optimized Low-Dispersion Fundamental Weaker HIE-FDTD Method

To optimize the dispersion of the fundamental weaker hybrid implicit explicit in the finite-difference time-domain method, a lower dispersion method is proposed by optimization parameters. A series of important parameters related to the numerical dispersion is analyzed. Results show that the low-dispersion method improves the dispersion property significantly without changing the stability condition. In addition, an antenna example is adopted and verifies the effectiveness of the proposed low-dispersion method. Simulation results of various methods above are in very good agreement with the experiment.
