Proposition and Evaluation of MEC Server Optimal Resource Allocation Considering Task Priority on IoV

Mobile edge computing (MEC) plays an important role on the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). By transferring data processing to MEC servers near the car, MEC technology can reduce latency and maximize bandwidth. In this article, we propose a MEC server resource allocation method using auction algorithm, which considers the priority of data processing requests (MEC) from vehicle terminals to MEC servers in 5G and later mobile communication networks. The effectiveness of the proposal method was demonstrated through simulation.
