Application of Photoelectric Detection Technology in The Measurement of Creepage Distance of External Insulation of Power Equipment

The creepage distance of external insulation of power equipment is an important parameter related to the safe operation of power equipment. Especially from the perspective of the evaluation and management of anti-pollution flashover and overvoltage insulation coordination of power grid, it is necessary to actually measure the equipment to obtain real and effective data. At present, the conventional creepage distance measurement work is carried out manually under the condition of equipment outage. Due to the large data error of human factors and methods, the long data verification period cannot meet the requirements of power grid equipment management. The photoelectric detection technology based on multi-vision optical detection + laser identification auxiliary positioning is used to detect the creepage distance of the external insulation of the representative insulators used in power equipment. The on-line detection of the external dimensions of power equipment is realized, and the problem that the surface feature points of the equipment are difficult to extract is solved. The results of laboratory and field application show that the developed detection system has the accuracy of measuring the external dimensions of insulators, simple operation, and meets the requirements of external insulation of power equipment verification equipment.
