Design of Operational Transconductance Amplifier(OTA) for 1.2V Bandgap Reference(BGR)

The Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) is an essential and versatile building block of electronic systems. The design of OTA is crucial on achieving low noise, high linearity, and temperature stability, such that it can be used to design a reference voltage for various applications, including analog-to-digital converters. The design parameters, such as transconductance, bandwidth, and power consumption, are tailored to meet the specific requirements for the 1.2V BGR. This work provides 7-pack OTA, which operates with 1.8V power supply gives a gain of 77dB, a phase margin of 72 degrees, -3dB bandwidth of 5.3kHz. This result demonstrates the effectiveness of the OTA design in meeting the specific requirements of the 1.2V BGR. Overall, the engineered OTA using tsmc library 180 nm technology emerges a valuable component for ensuring the stability of the 1.2V reference voltage, which is a critical reference point for a wide range of electronic devices and systems.
