Research on the Optimal Configuration of Electrochemical Energy Storage in Power Transmission Grid with High Proportion of Renewable Energy Considering Utilization Rate of Renewable Energy

The penetration of renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaic in the power grid is gradually increasing, but its uncertainty prevents accurate prediction of it, leading to wind and light abandonment in the power system. This paper presents a renewable energy volatility index for energy storage site selection. Taking the minimum overall energy storage capacity as the objective function, a storage capacity optimization configuration model is established by comprehensively considering energy storage related constraints and renewable energy utilization rate constraints. Proposed a particle swarm optimization algorithm considering inertia weight to calculate energy storage capacity. Using real data from the Zhangbei area for simulation, calculate the minimum energy storage capacity under different renewable energy utilization rates and charging and discharging time conditions. Finally, a relationship diagram between renewable energy utilization rate and energy storage configuration capacity is drawn. Research has shown that this method can improve the utilization efficiency of renewable energy and is of great significance for the economic allocation of energy storage in power systems.
