Design Considerations of a 200kW/750V CLLC Resonant Converter for Multi-port DC Energy Router

The CLLC resonant converter offers symmetrical topology, wider voltage range and full load range soft-switching, and which is regarded as an emerging part of multi-port DC energy router. This paper describes the engineering design considerations of 200kW/750V CLLC resonant converter in detail, in which the details resonance parameters design, the power device selection, power loss analysis, and thermal design are presented. The 200kW/750V CLLC resonant converter prototype is built and tested, the preliminary experimental results indicate that maximum devices temperature at 112.5kW is only 79.9°C, and the proposed parameters and thermal design can perfectly satisfy the design requirements.
