Numerical simulation of the gas-discharge tube of a microwave switch of the S-band Microwave Pulse compressor at low and high-power levels

This report presents the results of 2D and 3D numerical simulation of the switching process in an interference microwave switch based on a S-band H -tee as an energy output device in high-power resonant microwave compressors at low and high-power level. The obtained results of switching process simulation in the tube of switch will allow to select the optimal operating mode of the microwave switch, which will ensure the maximum gain of the compressor, that will allow to form stable output nanosecond high power pulses at a low and high-power level with low losses in the plasma of the gas discharge tube of the switch [1, 2].
