Research on Frequency Control of Power System Coupled with Variable Frequency Air Conditioning System

In recent years, load side variable frequency air conditioning (FAC) has been able to actively adjust electricity consumption in a short period of time and quickly respond to power system scheduling through the unified deployment of Load Aggregator (LA), becoming an important resource for alleviating supply-demand imbalance. This article focuses on the delay effect caused by the collaborative participation of source and load in frequency regulation. Using Lyapunov theory, a delay quantification analysis method is proposed. By designing stability criteria, the interaction relationship between Proportional Integral (PI) gain and system delay stability margin can be obtained. The following conclusion can be drawn: Proportional gain PG has a significant impact on the delay stability domain of the system, while IK is not sensitive to delay. As PG increases, the system's tolerable delay margin gradually decreases. When there is a significant time delay in load regulation, an increase in the number of FACs will lead to a decrease in system stability margin, and it is necessary to define the feasible range for load participation in capacity regulation.
