Study on Loss Reduction Strategies for Distribution Networks Containing Distributed Photovoltaics

This study investigates the impact of distributed photovoltaic (PV) grid integration on line losses in distribution networks and proposes methods to mitigate this impact. The research addresses key questions regarding how the integration of distributed PV systems affects line losses, what methods can be used to reduce these losses, and how these methods can be validated. The study examines the theoretical basis of line loss reduction measures for distributed PV grid integration and proposes various mitigation methods. These methods are validated through numerical simulations and case studies. The findings suggest that implementing certain measures, such as optimizing PV integration strategies and adjusting system power factors, can effectively reduce line losses in distribution networks with distributed PV integration. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of careful consideration of these measures for enhancing the efficiency of distribution networks.
