Research on the Evaluation Method of High Voltage Circuit Breakers Mechanical Characteristic Curve Based on Action Section Curve

The paper introduces a detection method based on the mechanical characteristics of action segment curves, addressing the issue of insufficient detection accuracy in traditional full segment curve detection methods.When assessing the mechanical condition of GAS insulated SWITCHGEAR(hereinafter referred to as GIS) circuit breakers, the conventional curve similarity algorithm utilizes the entire curve segment as its data input. This approach introduces substantial amounts of ineffective feature data and noise, leading to low detection accuracy.Now, a similarity detection algorithm based on action segment curves is proposed. Through a series of methods such as standard curve selection, curve action segment definition, statistical test data setting, and detection threshold setting, the mechanical characteristics of GIS circuit breakers, including stroke and coil current, are analyzed and detected.The accuracy of the algorithm was verified based on the test data of the 252kV intelligent GIS prototype. The test data verification results showed that the detection accuracy of this method was significantly improved compared to traditional full-segment curve similarity detection algorithms. Through statistical analysis of a large number of historical test curve similarity coefficients, different detection thresholds were set for each action type curve, allowing for the detection of subtle mechanical degradation trends in GIS equipment.
