A Planar Spiral Orbital Angular Momentum Antenna Based on Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton

A plane spiral orbit angular momentum (PSOAM) antenna based on spoof surface plasmon polaritions (SSPPs) structure is proposed. The study utilized SSPP as the basic model of the antenna, and achieved radiation function through the principle of circular traveling waves. The antenna and its feeding structure that can radiate high mode PSOAM were integrated designed, and the feasibility of the design was verified through simulation. This antenna has the characteristics of low profile, small size, and can be made easily using Printed Circuit Board technology, which is potential in the low frequency OAM based applications.
