Dynamic simulation test for reactive power regulation of Large Synchronous Condenser

Large Synchronous condenser (SC) has become an indispensable and important equipment in the development of new energy support due to its strong reactive power support and overload capacity. To further study the reactive power regulation ability of the large SC, the actual engineering experiment is carried out, but it will be subject to many restrictions, and the economic cost is very large, which will also affect the safe and economic operation of the power system. Therefore, the dynamic simulation experiment is carried out on the miniature prototype system of the large SC. According to the similarity principle, the dynamic simulation experiment parameters of reactive power regulation of the large SC are adjusted, and its dynamic simulation experiment platform is built. The dynamic simulation experiment of the large SC reactive power regulation under different working conditions is carried out, and its experimental results are analyzed. The experimental results show the dynamic simulation experimental results for the reactive power output of the analog SC are basically the same as that of the prototype large SC under similar working conditions.
