Capacitor health parameter detection based on frequency response

The capacitance value and dielectric loss angle of the power capacitor can reflect the early fault of the capacitor. Therefore, the health condition of the capacitor can be monitored in real time by measuring these two key parameters online. In this paper, a capacitance and dielectric loss angle measurement algorithm based on frequency response is proposed. Firstly, based on the harmonic impedance measurement method of the system, the capacitance value and loss angle measurement method of the capacitor are proposed. Then, the algorithm proposed in this paper is verified by theory and simulation, and the accuracy of the algorithm is verified. Finally, the simulation results show that the frequency fluctuation does not affect the effectiveness of the method and the method does not require high sampling frequency.
