Multi-Modes Hybrid Switched-Capacitor Converter Adapting Ultra-Wide Voltage Conversion Ratio Applications

To meet the demand of high step-down ratio and wide voltage conversion ratio without introducing additional magnetic components and while minimizing stress on the existing components, this paper proposes a multi-modes hybrid DC-DC switched-capacitor converter. The converter is based on the integration of the buck converter and switched-capacitor converter and enables segmented and continuous voltage regulation. By selecting an appropriate operational region, coarse tuning of the output voltage is achieved, while fine tuning is facilitated by adjusting the duty cycle value. Additionally, a simulation model with 48V input is built to verify the theoretical analysis.
