A code using Matlab to calculation and design tokamak equilibrium configuration

In this paper, A tokamak equilibrium configuration calculation code was developed using Matlab language. Buneman’s method, Green’s function method and Chebyshev spectral method were used to solve the Grad-Shafranov equilibrium equation under free boundary conditions, and the precision and error of several solving methods were analyzed. The calculation results are consistent with the EFIT code, indicating that the code can preliminarily meet the requirements of tokamak equilibrium configuration calculation. Two typical equilibrium configurations of lower single null divertor configuration and snowflake divertor configuration are designed for high magnetic field compact tokamak (HFCT) by using this code.
