Statisticsof Impedanceand Scattering Matrices in Chaotic Microwave Cavity for the Single Channel Model

The coupling properties for the radiation wave of a structure usually depend in detail on the size, shape of the structure, and the frequency of the radiation wave [1]. In this article, we model a cylindrical cavity with traditional iron and a cylindrical cavity with hexagonal spiral metamaterial wearing separately. The impedance Z, scattering S statistical properties, as well as power transmission in the above two models were studied and compared. The probability distribution graphs of the real and imaginary part of impedance Z, as well as the magnitude of scattering S were calculated. It was found that the knowledge of the response of one configuration of the enclosure may not be useful in predicting that of a nearly identical enclosure. And more results would be shown later on.
