Classification and Quantitative Analysis of Power Generation Costs in Power System

The generation cost of power system restricts the generation capacity of power generation enterprises. And the size of power generation determines the economic level and quality of life. This paper classifies and summarizes the cost composition of the power generation side of the power system, and divides the power generation cost into three categories: coal consumption cost, carbon emission cost, and start stop cost. Identify the meanings represented by each type of cost and construct mathematical models for each of these costs separately. Based on the load data of Monte Carlo simulation, the power generation data is obtained and the power generation cost is calculated. The proposed calculation method of power generation cost is verified on the IEEE 33 node system.
