Electromagnetic transient simulation method for voltage source converter

With the rapid development of technologies such as direct current transmission and new energy generation, the prominent feature of the new power system with new energy as the main body is electricity electronization. Voltage Source Converter (VSC) is widely used in new energy generation and flexible DC transmission systems. With the wide application of VSC converters in new energy stations and flexible HVDC systems, the electromagnetic transient simulation of power systems presents new challenges. Based on the electromagnetic transient simulation model algorithm of the VSC converter, an improved electromagnetic transient simulation method is proposed by using matrix splitting and mixed integration methods. The corresponding electromagnetic transient simulation model is established to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
